The children in Year 5 have been studying Ancient Greece in History.
One of their cross-curricular activities was to design a Greek vase and then to recreate it using clay.
The children thought about the designs they would have on their vases and realised quickly that some of their more intricate designs would not be able to be implemented on their vases.
Once they had their piece of clay, the children had time to manipulate the clay in order to get their best result. They also realised quite quickly, that it wasn’t going to be as easy as they first thought!
The children will use this as part of their evaluation.
